THE TEMPORARY VISITORS CENTRE
The temporary visitor's centre is housed in a part of the carpenter's shop 'De Juffer'.
In the visitor's centre the importance of Cornelis Corneliszoon van Uitgeest's inventions is explained on exhibition panels: drawings of his inventions show the techniques he got patents for and models of paltrok sawmills demonstrate his most important invention, the application of a crankshaft in a hollow post wind mill, by which sawing of wood could be executed much faster than by hand . 'De Juffer' also accommodates a small exhibition of antique carpenter tools. A small auditorium, with modern AV equipment completes the centre.
A model of the park shows the final vision once the Industrial Heritage Park 'De Hoop' has been completed.
